The Lyra Baroque Orchestra will be performing in Madrid, Spain as part of Spain's Golden Centuries series December 1st.

Lyra Baroque Orchestra leaves for Spanish tour November 28th.

The Lyra Baroque Orchestra will be performing in Madrid, Spain as part of Spain's Golden Centuries series Dec. 1st. In addition to their performance in Madrid, they will be performing the program that audiences in St. Paul and Rochester will hear this weekend (Nov. 18 & 19), in Valladolid on Nov. 30th, León on Dec. 2nd and in Zamora on Dec. 3rd.

The all-Boccherini program is being performed as part of the Boccherini anniversary festival in León, recognizing the 200th anniversary of the composer's death. The Orchestra's appearances in Madrid are organised and sponsored by the Fundación Caja Madrid. Performing with Lyra will be Italian soprano Raffaella Milanesi.

Lyra is returning to Spain after a successful trip in 2003, when their performances were recorded for a debut CD on the Glossa label. The CD is due to be released this December, and will be available for sale at Lyra's February concerts in Rochester and the Twin Cities.
